Africa Christian Teaching Service

Welcome To Our Website

Here at Africa Christian Teaching Service (acts-africa.net) we strive to bring relief from poverty, hunger and ill health through the blessings of education and the support of the family.  We have been at work in the Great Lakes area of Central East Africa for over thirty years and in that time have seen some remarkable achievements.

Enabling young people to gain a good education frees them from the treadmill of poverty and provides them with work opportunities that would never have been possible before. Good jobs provide higher incomes and this in turn helps our ex-students to support their wider families so raising their living standards within their communities.  Furthermore, the young people who we help through the work of ACTS today will have the knowledge and life skills to provide for the education of their own children. We truly believe that education is the stepping stone which allows people to make informed choices about their futures.

We praise God for the opportunity granted to us in being a part of His work among some of the poorest people in the world today.  As followers of Christ Jesus in the western world it never ceases to amaze us how great a blessing can be made from the smallest sacrifice. Just a few pounds a month can mean that a child or young person gets the opportunity to receive a real education. And that’s how it works, that small sacrifice becomes a life changing blessing, not just for today but for generations to come.

Please take some time to browse our website and pray carefully as to how you might get involved. Please pray for us and the work we do. You can donate by following the link to our “Stewardship” giving site, or you may like to become a fund raiser. You can find out more by getting in touch through our “contact us” page.

Remember, the smallest gift you have to offer becomes so much larger in the hands of someone who has nothing to start with.

On behalf of our children and young people and their families and guardians, God bless you and thank you from the bottom of all our hearts.

The Trustees.

Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

'The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."'

I thank the Lord for leading me to this school as I feel at home with good educators that take care of us in every step we take in studying or counselling whenever needed; especially how to live according to the Gospel and walk in the promises of God.

Be richly blessed,

Erica Mutoni.
